Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic shut down, reStart, Inc. has taken precautions while continuing to provide the much needed services we provide to over 400 people per day.
We shifted some staff to work remotely and started a rotation of staff in the building. We provided education to our guests and instituted social distancing protocols as well as mask guidelines. Currently, we are not having volunteers in our building due to COVID-19 precautions. Leadership will reevaluate monthly to determine when we can welcome volunteers back into the building again.
We partnered with the City of Kansas City, Missouri to provide services to people experiencing homelessness who need to be quarantined while waiting for their test results.
reStart, Inc. has also partnered with Hope Faith Ministries and Veteran's Community Project at their Operation KC Relief campus to provide day services such as health care, meals, etc. We provided on site testing for staff and guests on June 2nd. We are continuing our protocols to prevent community spread.
As we’re working to keep our residents, healthy, and fed, we are asking for your assistance providing the items listed below. If you are able to do so safely, please bring the following to reStart (918 E 9th St Kansas City, MO 64106) to provide for Kansas City’s homeless population.
