Kansas City Project Hope (Homeless Prevention and Rapid Rehousing) and Jackson County HPRP: reStart is the lead agency for the Northeast Service Center. In partnership with Don Bosco Center and Guadalupe Centers, reStart has been able to provide homeless prevention and rapid rehousing services to more than 700 households since 2009.
Episcopal Community Services Kansas City Community Kitchen : In September, 2010, ECS opened the Kansas City Community Kitchen in the lower level of the Homeless Services Center serving up to 1,000 meals for lunch each day. This collaboration brought new clients to receive services at the HSC and also reduced nuisance calls in the former location of the Community Kitchen, without raising nuisance calls in the HSC area. Our partnership with the Downtown Council provides monitoring and security services in the area to ensure the safety of our guests and those dining at the KCCK.

Art's for Adults at reStart: this program offers cleints live experiences of multi-disciplinary arts, curriculum-based hands-on study, and creative presentations of participants’ work. The program is enhanced by small group size, personal attention, field trips, and outside expertise in various disciplines. It encourages homeless adults to express themselves positively and provides them with opportunities to experience cultural and career options in the community. The program is partially funded by grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and Missouri Arts Council, and includes partnerships with such arts organizations as the Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, the American Jazz Museum, the Lyric Opera and others.
