* Provides longer-term housing for 19 men and 15 women who work with our staff on individualized action plans to seek out permanent housing. We provide advocacy, guidance and access to resources in order to stabilize these individuals and give them the tools they need to move toward self-sufficiency.
* In 2011, we provided transitional housing for 136 individuals, including 42 persons living with HIV/AIDS.reStart has launched the “Home for Good” Campaign to upgrade both the emergency shelter floors and two floors of transitional living for single men and women.
* Services provided for individuals include:
+ Employment and on-the-job training
+ Housing assistance
+ Life skills and financial literacy classes
+ Mental health screenings and individual, family and child therapy
+ Substance abuse recovery services
+ Health and nutritional education and screening
+ Art therapy and arts activities
