Monthly Giving
Monthly donors are out greatest program helpers. Consider becoming a reStart Sustainers and making automatic, monthly donations in lieu of an annual gift. reStart Sustainers ensure we have the funds to provide for our clients during our greatest times of need. Here are a few examples of your monthly donations can do:
- $25: toiletries for 2 of our residents
- $50: provides 5 bed sets for emergency housing, or a one hour of case management
- $100: provides a single night with comprehensive services for an individual
Corporate/Workplace
Workplace giving is simple and easy! Through workplace giving, you can designate a portion of your paycheck to reStart Inc. instead of remembering to write a check. reStart is a proud member of United Way. UW #685

reStart welcomes gifts in the form of stocks and mutual funds. Making a gift of appreciated stock can benefit you as well as our residents. In addition to receiving an income ta reduction for the full market value of the securities, you may also avoid capital gains on the appreciation of your stocks. Please consider making a gift of stock to maximize tax savings and meet your charitable giving goals this year.

Bequests by Will Many of our supporters have chosen to continue their investment in the future of our residents even after they are gone. By including reStart Inc. in your will, you can bring hope to less-fortunate men, women and children in our community for many years to come.

Young Philanthropists offers a unique opportunity to become involved in some of reStart’s volunteer and networking opportunities such as service days, happy hours, and a way to connect with like-minded individuals.
The goal of Young Philanthropists is to harness the energy, enthusiasm, and creativity of young professionals to draw attention to and put an end to homelessness in the Kansas City area. There are countless opportunities available for each member to not only get involved with our established programs and yearly fundraising events, but to also connect with community members and make an impact in the lives of those working towards breaking the cycle of homelessness.
Membership is established by making a donation of a minimum of $70 per year to reStart. Donations can either be made all at once or broken up into monthly or quarterly payments throughout the year.
Young Philanthropists is more than a donation. It’s the opportunity to expand your professional network, develop your skills as a leader, and make a lasting impact in the homeless community. This annual donation not only opens up new philanthropic doors for you, but also contributes to the success of reStart’s mission.
Who are Young Philanthropists members? You’re never too young to start giving. Prospective members are in their 20s and 30s with a passion for ending homelessness and giving back to their community.
